BIM Software Tip: Revit MEP Template Application – Part 2
The Revit MEP template application enables us to quickly set color schemes for pipes, ducts, and cable trays within a project. This feature makes it easy to adjust views swiftly and handle post-production drawings efficiently. For instance, I set a color scheme for a view as a benchmark. Using templates, we can quickly apply this color scheme to other views!
Let’s start by setting the color scheme for the air duct:
Next, save a template for the current view,
and name it: Duct Sample.
Define this view as the duct template we need,
and then proceed with the duct drawing.
This process is similar to defining the previous air duct. The same principle applies equally to air ducts, water pipes, and cable trays!
