Today, I would like to introduce how to quickly create annotated grids in Revit. In terms of project management, we often need to establish annotations for our pipelines efficiently. Typically, we use plugins to select the grid and verify its accuracy. But how can we generate annotated grids for our drawings quickly? When drawing walls, time can easily slip away. So, how can we filter and clarify the drawings more efficiently? Without further delay, let’s dive into the tutorial.
1. First, open your CAD drawing and review the line types used.
2. In Revit, go to the Insert tab. Instead of choosing Link CAD, select Import CAD. Then, delete any unnecessary layers by using the Delete Layer option. You can either decompose or remove unwanted layers as needed.
3. This method effectively resolves annotation management issues and helps establish accurate axis networks.
Note: If you encounter a situation where one layer overlaps another, simply copy and paste the corresponding elevation view to fix the issue.
This is just one approach. Feel free to explore and experiment to find the most convenient method that suits your workflow.
