Navisworks: How to View Multiple NWC Files Individually

Viewing Multiple NWC Files Separately in Navisworks

When working with Navisworks, you might be familiar with the fact that to view multiple NWC files simultaneously, you typically use the attach function. However, once attached, all these files merge into a single combined model.

But is there a way to open multiple NWC files independently—similar to how Revit allows multiple files to be opened without interfering with each other? The following steps will guide you through the process.

1. Open any NWC file.

2. Locate the Project Browser, which usually appears in the bottom-left corner.

3. Import other NWC files through the Project Browser.

4. Click on any NWC file in the Project Browser to switch between them. You can also modify and save each file individually without interference from the others.
