How to Edit Labels in Revit with a Double-Click

How to Double-Click to Edit Labels in Revit

There are four main ways to modify the properties of family parameters in Revit:

  1. Click on the family and adjust the parameters in the family attribute bar on the right side.
  2. Edit in the detailed list, which is ideal for batch modifications.
  3. Use the Modify > Clipper > Match Type Attributes tool for adjustments.
  4. Add annotation tags to the family and modify parameters directly within the tags.

In Revit 2012, you could modify some family parameters by double-clicking the label. However, starting from Revit 2013, double-clicking opens the family editing mode, which makes double-clicking to edit labels more difficult.

Actually, in Revit 2013, double-clicking to modify tag content was still possible, but the process was slower.

Below is a step-by-step explanation of how to double-click and edit labels in Revit:

  1. Click the left mouse button once on the label to activate it. The label will turn blue to indicate it is selected.
