The Shenyang Vanke Chunhe River project is situated along the Jinlang Line in Shenyang City and is recognized as a “key project of Jinlang in Shenyang City.” It is bordered by Wenyi Road to the south, Sanhao Street to the west, Caita Street to the east, and the South Canal to the north.
Guided by the group’s focus on industrialization, the Shenyang Vanke Chunhe River project actively promoted industrialized construction methods. With strong support from both the group and regional authorities, the project pioneered structural innovations using the Japanese full PC frame core tube system and the Vanke shear wall system. This initiative became a benchmark for both the group and the region, establishing a solid foundation for advancing industrialization and providing valuable practical experience.
Throughout the industrialization process, close communication was maintained with the Shenyang Municipal Construction Commission, Ludao Construction, and the China Construction Design Institute. The project earned high praise from government bodies. A major milestone was the successful completion of the “5.11 Shenyang Vanke Spring River Modern Building Industrialization Demonstration Project Prefabricated Component Lifting Launch Ceremony.” This event marked the comprehensive launch of modern building industrialization in Shenyang and represented a significant step forward in Shenyang Vanke’s industrialization efforts. The project was also recognized as a “Shenyang Modern Building Industrialization Demonstration Project” by the Shenyang Urban and Rural Construction Committee.

1. Introduction to the Japanese Full PC Framework Core Tube System
At the outset of the project, a specialized industrialization research team was formed to analyze current industrialization practices within the group and across the country. They gathered insights, encouraged innovation, and collaborated closely with the Kashima Construction Group from Japan, guided and supported by regional authorities and the government.
This collaboration marked a new attempt to implement the Japanese full PC framework core tube system within the project. Research efforts focused comprehensively on PC design and construction methods. To ensure effective implementation, Kashima Construction management experts were stationed onsite to offer detailed guidance on PC engineering. Workers received both theoretical and practical training, including lifting and grouting techniques, laying a strong foundation for subsequent construction phases.
Additionally, the project introduced the Japanese style of construction management, providing a basis for the group’s 2014 proposal to essentially meet Japanese onsite management standards, thereby gaining valuable experience.
Process Overview – Framework Core Tube Assembled Structural System (Building 17#)
The frame core tube prefabricated structural system, imported from Kashima, Japan, is primarily suited for high-rise commercial and residential buildings. It involves factory-prefabricated columns, beams, and composite floor slabs, which are then hoisted and assembled onsite.
Producing PC components in a controlled factory setting ensures high-quality main structural elements. This system offers significant benefits in energy conservation, water savings, and environmental friendliness, contributing to green and low-carbon building practices.
Structurally, the system concentrates stress on the frame columns and beams. Construction uses fixed connections of steel bars and sleeves, followed by grouting at the joints. The assembled frame core tube system incorporates a sandwich insulation layer, effectively ensuring excellent exterior wall insulation.

Basic Specifications for Building 17#

Structural Form: Frame Core Tube
System: Kashima System, Japan
Building Area: 8,850 ㎡
Number of Floors: 15
Building Height: 55 m
Standard Floor Height: 3.15 m
PC Components: Columns, beams, and slabs from floors 2 to 15; decorative columns assembled at the top level
2. Introduction to the Vanke Shear Wall System
Building upon the Japanese full PC framework core tube system, the Shenyang Vanke Chunhe River project incorporated lessons from successful projects like Beijing Changyang and Holiday Scenery to enhance the Vanke shear wall prefabricated structural system.
This system integrates various prefabricated components such as exterior wall panels, stairs, composite panels, bay windows, and balconies. Technical improvements allowed for bay window integration and frameless construction methods, achieving excellent results and earning recognition within the region.
Process Overview – Vanke Shear Wall System (Buildings 2# and 3#)
The shear wall prefabricated structural system was independently developed by Vanke Group, tailored to the climate and conditions of northern China. It is especially suited for high-rise and multi-story residential buildings.
This system involves factory prefabrication of exterior wall panels, floor slabs, balconies, stairs, and more, which are then assembled onsite.
Advantages include shortened construction periods, flexible layout options, avoidance of common traditional construction issues, and improved main structure quality.
Structurally, the system’s stress is concentrated in the shear wall areas. Construction uses sleeve and steel bar connections, with grouting applied at the joints. The sandwich insulation method is employed to ensure effective exterior wall insulation.
