How to Select Spatial Curves for Layout in Revit

When trying to select spatial curves for layout in Revit, you might encounter issues where the curves cannot be picked at all. Here is a method to help you overcome this problem.

1. Begin by drawing the curve segment by segment using reference planes in the appropriate reference elevation view.

2. Set each reference plane as the active work plane. Then, switch to a 3D view, go to the Create tab, select the reference line tool, and use the pick line option to pick the corresponding reference plane you just created.

3. Once this is done for all segments, you will be able to select the path for layout successfully.

Note: Since the curve in this example consists of multiple line segments, you need to repeat these steps for each segment individually.
