Creating Custom Line Styles in Revit: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to Create Line Styles in Revit

When working in Revit, it’s often necessary to adjust the thickness and color of lines to accurately represent your model in plan views. You can achieve this by using model lines for drawing or by modifying the settings under the Line Styles in the plan view.

So, how do you set up and customize line styles for both model lines and line processing according to your specific requirements?

First, go to the Manage tab and open Other Settings, then select Line Styles.

Here, you can modify existing line types to suit your project.

Alternatively, you can create new line styles tailored to your needs.

Finally, by using the Model Line tool or adjusting Line Styles in line processing, you can directly create or edit lines with the customized styles you have set.
