The Taiyuan Central Hospital in Shanxi Province (hereafter referred to as the Central Hospital) is situated in Jiajiazhai Village, Taimao Road, within the Fendong Business District of Taiyuan City. The hospital’s relocation project encompasses several key facilities, including the emergency medical technology inpatient comprehensive building, infectious disease building, boiler room, as well as the scientific research and teaching administrative comprehensive building.
The total land area covers 215,323.4 square meters, with construction land occupying 189,461.5 square meters. The overall construction area reaches 284,220.63 square meters.

This project integrated Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology starting from the design phase, extending through to construction management. The use of BIM significantly shortened the construction timeline, producing remarkable results. As one of the largest BIM technology applications in Shanxi, this project plays a vital role in advancing BIM adoption throughout the region.

Looking ahead to the operation and maintenance phase, the Central Hospital will continue utilizing BIM technology. By leveraging the building model, spatial information and real-time data will be integrated seamlessly. Facility management personnel will be able to access comprehensive building information and monitor energy-saving metrics in real time through a 3D platform, providing an intuitive view of the entire facility’s status.
