Batch Building in Revit
Functions:
1. Batch creation of floor slabs within the model.
2. Customization of the floor slab generation boundaries.
3. Ability to customize floor type, slab thickness, elevation, and offset values during creation.
Instructions for Use:
1. Open the Batch Building tool located in the Fine Modeling panel under the Model Deepening tab.
2. For wall slab boundaries: select the floor slab boundary at wall locations, supporting options for wall edge or wall centerline.
3. For slab boundaries on beams: select the floor slab boundary at beam locations, supporting beam edge or centerline options.
4. Choose the floor category: specify whether the floor to be generated is a building floor or a structural floor.
5. Select wall types eligible for defining floor boundaries by checking the corresponding options.
6. From the dropdown menu, select the desired floor type to create. The available floor types are based on the current template file.
7. Define the slab thickness: you can specify a thickness different from the default floor type. The program will adjust the thickness of the chosen floor type to generate a new floor slab type. (Note: The original type name will not be changed.)
8. Set the floor elevation: specify the elevation level where the new floor will be created.
9. Specify the floor offset: define the vertical offset relative to the set floor elevation. Positive values offset upwards, while negative values offset downwards.
10. Click OK, then select the area where floors need to be created. Finally, click the Finish button on the Options Bar. Please note that floors will only be created in enclosed areas within the selected range.
