Using Specific Angle Elbows to Arrange Pipes in Revit
Step 1: Go to the Management tab, then click on Revit MEP Settings. Open the Mechanical Settings dialog box and select Pipeline Settings. Under the Angle section, you will find the available elbow angles.
Step 2: Choose to use specific angles by selecting the option. Then, deselect all angles except for 90° and 45° from the list.
Important: The 90° angle must always remain selected.
Step 3: When drawing the pipeline, elbows will automatically default to either 90° or 45° bends. As you move your mouse cursor over the bend point, you can preview any angle, but once you click to place the point, the pipe will automatically adjust to meet the insertion requirements—creating a 45° elbow where applicable. This ensures the pipeline uses a 45° bend connection at the elbow.
