Optimizing Window Placement for Connected Inclined Stacked Walls in Revit

Window Placement Issues When Connecting Inclined Stacked Walls in Revit

In some projects, exterior walls require reinforcement, so it’s common to use stacked walls for the first floor. However, when placing windows at the diagonal junction of stacked walls in Revit, we encounter a problem. As shown in the image, the lower wall on the right is correctly cut by the window, but the wall on the left is not.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Select the wall by clicking on it with your mouse, then click the Wall Connection command found under the Geometry panel.
  2. Next, click on the connection point between the two wall sections.
  3. The options bar will become active (no longer gray). Click the Diagonal command in the options bar.
  4. Finally, click on an empty area in the background. The wall will now be properly cut by the window.
