How to Add Multiple Light Sources to a Family in Revit

When creating lighting equipment, it’s common to have more than one light source. So, how can you add multiple light sources to meet your design needs?

In Revit, you cannot simply copy the light source inside a family.

However, you can add multiple light sources by using a nested family approach.

Here’s how:

  1. First, create a new family using the “Metric lighting equipment” template and save it as a lighting family.
  2. Next, load this new family into the lighting equipment family where you want to place the additional light sources.
