How to Transfer View Templates and Filters Between Projects in Revit
In Revit software, models created in China are often assigned to different team members across various regions. Each person’s working habits differ, which can lead to inconsistencies in system names, view visibility settings, and filters within the models. When working with models created by others, it becomes essential to transfer your own view templates and filters to their models to streamline the process and increase efficiency.
Here is a step-by-step guide to transferring view templates and filters between projects:
1. Open both your own model and the model that needs to be modified. In the model you want to update, go to the Manage tab and select Transfer Project Standards (see Figure 1).

2. In the dialog box, select the project that already contains the desired view templates and filters from the dropdown menu (see Figure 2).

3. Deselect all categories except for View Templates and Filters in the left panel, then click OK to proceed (see Figure 3).

4. If a duplicate type warning appears, choose the appropriate action, typically Overwrite, and confirm (see Figure 4).

Summary:
By transferring familiar view templates and filters between projects, you can avoid repetitive setup for each new project, significantly improving your workflow and productivity.
