Production Issues Affecting Revit Title Bars

Revit Title Bar Production Issues

When using Revit to create title bars, we often face the challenge of working with frames of various sizes, while the information inside these frames remains largely the same. Typically, we add information—such as labels and nested annotation families—manually to each frame, one by one. This process is time-consuming and can impact the consistency and quality of each frame.

To improve efficiency, a faster method is needed. Here are some tips based on my personal experience for creating frames more effectively:

First, start with a completed frame and adjust the information inside it as needed. The next step is figuring out how to copy this information to other frames of different sizes.

1. Shared parameters within the frame family or the system’s built-in labels can be copied from one frame to another. This approach saves a significant amount of time.

2. If you find that an embedded annotation family cannot be copied directly to another frame, the solution is to pre-embed the annotation family into the target frame. This way, the annotation will appear when you copy the frame.

3. By combining these two methods—copying shared parameters and embedding annotation families—you can efficiently transfer labels and annotations together, streamlining the process of inputting information.
