Step-by-Step Guide to Drawing Concrete Flanged Railings in Revit

How to Draw Concrete Flanged Railings in Revit

Using Revit Software

During the design process, concrete flanged railings are a common feature. By modifying the railing family, you can create these railings quickly and efficiently.

1. Start by drawing a profile family. Change the profile usage to Railing Handrail, or use the metric profile handrail family template to create your shape. Once complete, load the family into your project.

2. Select the railing type and edit its structure (set to non-continuous). Then insert the railing and change its profile to the newly loaded profile family.

3. Next, edit the railing’s position and adjust the base of the main style to create a new railing type (1).

4. The final result will display the newly created concrete flanged railing style.
