How Revit Creates Flexible and Easy-to-Edit Baseboards
Typically, when designing skirting boards, we use wall decorative strips and modify their profiles to form the baseboards. However, this approach often presents challenges with placement, editing, and adjustments. Additionally, it can be difficult to place baseboards along side walls. In this guide, we will introduce a method to create baseboards more effectively.
1. Load a standard profile (in this example, we use the wooden baseboard 2 profile).
2. Use the Railing tool to create a new type called “Wall Decorative Strips.”
3. Open the Handrails and Railings editor and make the following changes:
Next, draw the path that corresponds to your desired baseboard layout.
The final result is a baseboard that is easy to edit and modify as needed.
