How to Set Up a Project Launch Page in Revit
The launch page is the first view displayed when opening a project. If no specific launch page is set, Revit will default to the last active view upon startup. By configuring a launch page with project information, you can quickly access key details about the current project. Additionally, this setup prevents reloading of elements in the view each time the project is opened, thereby improving loading speed.
Follow these steps to set up your project launch page:
- Go to the Application Menu > Options > User Interface, and check the option to enable the startup page along with recently used files.
- In the Project Browser, right-click on Legends and select Create New Legend.
- Name the legend and set its scale according to your preferences.
- Use text tools on the startup page to enter relevant project information.
- Navigate to the Manage tab, then under the Project Initiation panel, select Launch View.
- Set the current legend as the startup page. From now on, whenever the project is reopened, Revit will open this legend first—regardless of which view was active before the project was closed.
