How to Insert Images into a Parts List in Revit
When working in Revit, there are times when you need to insert images directly into a schedule to meet specific requirements.
Here’s how you can insert images into a parts list in Revit:
- Create a detailed schedule and include the “Image” field along with any other necessary fields.
- Select the components in your project where you want to add images. In the Properties panel, under the “Identity Data” section, add the image to the component’s instance properties by using the “Image” field.
- Note that the schedule will only show the image file names by default and won’t display the actual images.
To view the inserted images, you need to place the schedule onto a new sheet. Only then will the images become visible.
Understanding the difference between “Image” and “Type Image” fields:
The “Image” field corresponds to an instance attribute of a family, meaning it applies to individual components. On the other hand, “Type Image” refers to the type attribute of the family, which allows you to add images within the family editor mode.
