Key Management Enhancements in Revit 2014

New Help Topic: Updating User Settings Across the Entire Organization

Related changes to the Revit.ini file:

The VSTA section has been renamed to Macro.

The DocSecurity settings (within the Macro section) have been partially renamed to UIDocSecurity.

The settings ExportDwfObjectData and ExportDwfRoomData have been removed from Revit.ini. Additionally, the Catalog section has been partially moved to the Export section.

Some settings previously under Catalog have been relocated to the DirectoriesXXX section, where XXX represents language codes such as ENU or FRA. These include Default Template, Data Library Locations, and Family Template Path.

Certain settings within the Installation section have been documented.

Revit Server:

Supports Windows Server 2012 and IIS 8.

Supports .NET Framework 4.5 on all supported platforms, including Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2.

Replacing a model with an updated version on Revit Server will preserve the original UID.

If the server has insufficient disk space, Revit Server will detect this and display a warning dialog box.
