Since the release of Revit 2012, Autodesk has progressively enhanced the parts list functionality. Notably, the 2015 version introduced four major improvements to this feature:
1. Optional fields for the top and bottom limits and offsets of walls were added. This allows for layered calculations of the quantity and area of partition walls, improving accuracy in quantity takeoffs. Previously, overcoming project parameters for self-built floors was necessary.
2. Image links can now be inserted into detailed lists and will display once placed on the drawing. However, each image must be added individually, as batch insertion based on groupings is not supported.
These first two enhancements significantly improve wall data management and quantity calculations. The image insertion feature, in particular, offers a valuable new capability without requiring external tools.
3. The number of filtering criteria has doubled from four to eight. The previous limit of four criteria was often insufficient for detailed filtering needs.
4. The total header can now be customized, providing greater flexibility when creating detailed schedules.
