Test printing using the newly created graphic acad. DWT template file by drawing a simple line in model space. This helps exclude crashes caused by file corruption. If AutoCAD successfully prints to Adobe PDF printers using other printer drivers but crashes with the Adobe PDF driver, the solution is to repair or reinstall Adobe Acrobat.
To repair Acrobat, go to the Help menu and select the repair option. Alternatively, you can access this through Programs and Features (or Add or Remove Programs on Windows XP). Before reinstalling, make sure to remove the Adobe PDF printing driver.
If repairing Acrobat does not fix the crash, proceed to uninstall and then reinstall Adobe Acrobat.
Additionally, AutoCAD may require repairing or reinstalling Acrobat and resetting AutoCAD to its default settings. For guidance, see How to reset AutoCAD to default values.
Note: This solution involves using the Adobe PDF printing driver, which is installed with AutoCAD’s PC3 file, to convert DWG files to PDF format.
