BIM Software Tip: How to Manually Install the Navisworks Exporter Plugin
1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Navigate to the list of installed programs (Programs and Features).
3. Locate the Navisworks Exporter plugin entry without language packs. (Note: You may see two entries, one for 64-bit and one for 32-bit versions.)
4. Select the plugin entry and click on Uninstall/Change.
5. Choose Repair or Reinstall.
6. Select Repair and click Repair again. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the repair process and test the exporter.
7. If the repair option does not resolve the issue, repeat steps 1-5, but in step 6, select Reinstall instead.
If the above steps do not work, you can manually configure the exporter as follows:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Go to the list of installed programs (Programs and Features).
3. Select the Navisworks Exporter plugin entry without language packs (again, there may be separate 64-bit and 32-bit entries).
4. Click Uninstall/Change.
5. Choose Add or Remove Features.
6. In the list of features associated with the exporter, uncheck the exporter component you want to install or modify.
7. Click Update. Once the process completes, you will return to the list of installed programs.
8. Select the Navisworks Exporter plugin entry again (without language packs).
9. Click Add or Remove Features once more.
10. Click Restore Default Values.
11. Click Update, then follow the prompts to complete the operation and test the exporter.
