Understanding the Differences in Adding Parameters Between Revit 2013 and Revit 2014

BIM Software Tips: Differences in Adding Parameters between Revit 2013 and Revit 2014

In Revit 2013, the size of the connection port is defined by its radius. As a result, the column representing the nominal radius of the branch pipe does not contain any parameters.

Conversely, Revit 2014 defines the size of the connection port by its diameter. Therefore, the column for the nominal diameter of the branch pipe excludes any parameters.

If these distinctions are not observed, the pipe fittings may fail to update their diameter when the pipe diameter changes.
