Improved Locking Functionality for Graphic Elements
Revit 2015 introduces enhanced protection for locked elements against accidental deletion. Many users tend to dismiss warning dialogs without reading them, often leading to unintended deletions.
With the new version, when you attempt to delete a locked element, a prompt will appear, preventing the deletion. Unlike previous versions where the element would be deleted first and then a warning would appear, this update stops the deletion upfront and notifies you immediately.
This improved locking feature applies not only to structural components but also to architectural elements, building components, as well as mechanical and electrical systems.
