Structural Profile Attributes

The 2015 version of Revit introduces new parameter settings for cross-sectional shapes in structural components. This enhancement enables the addition of more detailed structural analysis parameters based on the selected profile.

For example, when working with steel structure columns, you can open a steel column model using Revit 2015.

In the Properties panel, you will find the option for Cross Section Shape along with related parameters.

Once you select the appropriate cross-section for the component, the newly added structural analysis parameters will be displayed within the component’s Properties panel.
