BIM Software Tip: How to Fix Quantification Display Issues in Non-English Versions of Navisworks

Issue:

When running Quantification in Navisworks 2014, all values appear as ‘; 0"’ (zero). This problem occurs only in localized versions of Navisworks, such as German, French, or Spanish.

Solution:

For Navisworks Manage 2014 in German, Spanish, or French, you need to use a specific feature mapping file designed for your language.

Follow these steps:

1. Close Navisworks 2014.
2. Download the localization feature mapping file for your language version of Navisworks Quantification.
3. Replace the existing TakeoffPropertyMap1.xml file located in:
   C:Program FilesAutodeskNavisworks Manage 2014Quantificationtakeoff_maps
4. Rename the downloaded file by removing the language suffix (e.g., ESP, DEU, FRA) so that the file name is exactly TakeoffPropertyMap1.xml.
5. Restart Navisworks 2014 to apply the changes.
