When adding a new light source to a family in Revit, multiple light sources must be nested within the family. Here’s the process:

Since the light source is defined in the template and cannot be added manually, you need to create a separate light source family first. Then, embed this light source family into the lighting family and define the light source there. You do not need to create the geometric model of the lighting fixture at this stage.

Afterwards, load this combined family into another lighting fixture template. In that template, you can create the geometric model and place the nested light source onto the corresponding part of the model.
