Optimizing Attribute Settings for DWG Models

BIM Software Tip: Setting Smooth Attributes for DWG Models

On the preset parameter panel for importing DWG files, you will find a “Smooth Angle” setting.

By default, this value is set to 15. When you import a model with this setting, surface objects like pipes appear with smooth, small arc segments.

If you increase this value to around 90,

you will notice a significant improvement in the smoothness of the surfaces.

It’s important to note that raising the smoothing angle does not increase the number of faces in the model, nor does it consume additional computer resources. Therefore, this adjustment can be applied widely without performance concerns.
