BIM Software Tip: Creating Custom Curtain Wall Designs in REVIT
Sometimes, when faced with unique curtain wall designs, it can be challenging to know where to begin. Here, we’ll walk through an example and share a handy trick to simplify the process.
Start by creating a new volume. On a vertical plane, place points and lines to define the shape. Then, select all elements and create a solid form.
After saving the volume, import the volume model into your project and choose the curtain wall system.
Depending on your project requirements, adjust the curtain wall system properties to ensure the size is sufficiently large.
Next, select the volume model and perform the specified operations 1 and 2.
Finally, delete the volume. This will leave you with the custom curtain wall design.
