When designing certain families, you might need to create pyramid-shaped elements. How would you approach this? You might think using the “Sweep” tool is enough. However, “Sweep” requires two closed contours and does not work with single points. So, how can we create a pyramid shape?

It’s actually quite simple — just use the “Extrusion” tool. Below is a step-by-step demonstration of how to create a triangular pyramid.

1. First, create a path that outlines the base of the triangular pyramid.

2. Enter contour editing mode, draw the contour as shown in the image below, then click Finish.
