BIM Software Tip: How to Generate Statistics for Revit Duct Insulation Layers and Linings
When working with air duct insulation layers and linings, you can efficiently generate statistics using Revit’s detailed schedule feature.
First, click on the Schedule/Quantities command located in the View panel.
Next, select the category for Air Duct Insulation Layer.
After confirming your selection, choose the parameters you want to include in the schedule.
Then, adjust the unit formats as needed, and be sure to enable the Calculate Totals option within the sorting/grouping settings.
Once completed, you will obtain the total area of the insulation layers.
Within the detailed schedule, you will also notice several rows that are not included in the calculations. These correspond to insulation layers wrapped around duct fittings such as elbows and tees.
