BIM Software Tip: A Summary of REVIT’s Method for Drawing Traced Roofs (Part 3)
Previously, I discussed two methods; today, I will combine them. Start by creating a footprint roof and use the Split Element (SL) tool to divide one edge into three segments. To ensure precision, you can draw a reference plane to set exact measurements.
Next, define the slope on both sides of the split edge. Use the Slope Arrow placed in the middle segment. When drawing the slope arrow, the midpoint of this middle line segment will be automatically detected, allowing for accurate slope definition.
For the remaining three edge segments that are not divided, do not define any slope. Afterwards, generate the 3D model to visualize the roof.
