When using Ctrl+V to copy and paste in CAD, avoid pasting too slowly. This issue often occurs due to numerous annotative scales within the file. Here’s how you can resolve it:

1. Type -scalelistedit into the command bar—be sure to include the hyphen, or the following dialog box will appear incorrectly.

2. When prompted, select the option r to reset the scale list to its default values, then enter y to confirm.

3. The software will notify you: “The scale list has been reset to the default entries.”
