Effective Use of Model Text and Text Parameters in Revit: A Comprehensive Guide

The Comprehensive Use of Model Text and Text Parameters in Revit

1. Begin by creating a new metric standard model for Family 1. Place the model text on the front facade, aligning it centrally to the left or right reference plane. Align the bottom of the text to the reference elevation, then change the lower reference plane to a weak reference.

2. Next, create a new metric standard model for Family 2. Load Family 1 into this model, place the model text, and create a similar instance to place it again. Add parameters of type “Text” as illustrated in the image.

3. On the floor plan, create a rectangular stretch. Then, on the front elevation, create a reference plane and add a parameter named h. Coordinate this with the “Result” association, as shown in the figure.

4. Finally, create a new project file and load Family 2 into the project to test the setup.
