BIM Software Tip: Naviswork Construction Date Synthesis Method
If you’ve used Naviswork, you might have encountered a common issue: the construction dates displayed above the timeline do not appear in the rendered output.
Here’s a solution to address this:
First, hide all objects completely in your project. Then, render an animation that contains only the date information.
Use the renderer for the Viewport to generate this sequence.
Next, import the newly rendered sequence into software like After Effects.
Apply a color key effect to this sequence. Adjust the color and tolerance settings to remove the background, making it appear pure black but actually transparent.
Once done, this sequence will contain only the dates. You can then overlay this date-only layer onto the original construction animation to create a complete, synchronized video.
