BIM Software Tip: Understanding How Revit Defines a System

This guide explains how to add systems to electromechanical samples and apply different colors to various pipeline systems. Follow these steps to assign colors to pipelines:

1. Add a system to the pipeline: In the Project Browser, locate the pipeline family, find the desired pipeline system, select it, right-click to copy it, then rename and add the new system.

2. Double-click the domestic water supply system to open the Type Properties dialog box, where you can modify the material.

3. Next, draw the pipeline, making sure to select the correct system type for the domestic water supply.
