How to Differentiate Models on a Plane When Drawing in Revit

BIM Software Tip: How to Distinguish Models on a Plane When Drawing in Revit

The original title may not be very clear. What I mean is how to clearly represent the models you’ve already drawn on a plane while continuing to work on your design. Without any proper settings, it’s easy to get overlapping warnings and lose track of what has been completed.

As shown in the image, beams, walls, and columns have already been drawn, but their actual status is not obvious at first glance. So, how can you make these elements stand out clearly? The solution is to use view visibility settings.

The steps are as follows:

Locate the professional category you want to adjust in the view visibility settings, then edit it accordingly. Personally, I prefer using colored solid fills to differentiate elements, but you can choose other methods as well.

Once configured, your view will look like this:

You will be able to clearly see what has been drawn and what is still unfinished. I hope this tip is helpful to everyone.
