How to Transform a Bridge Frame into a Grid Pattern

BIM Software Tip: How to Create a Grid Effect on a Bridge Frame

Many users have noticed that the cable trays in Revit appear quite simple and do not accurately reflect the actual construction conditions on-site. So, how can this issue be addressed in Navisworks?

The main problem lies within Revit’s handling of the bridge structure itself, which prevents achieving a realistic mesh effect. Even with the latest addition of the Fabrication CADmep module, the visual quality remains unsatisfactory. As a solution, I considered using 3ds Max to apply a texture map to the bridge structure, significantly enhancing its appearance.

First, add a standard metal mesh material, then customize its appearance to achieve the desired effect.
