Zhang Lin, Chief Engineer at Shenzhen Lide House Residential Technology Co., Ltd., presented the application of BIM technology in projects, focusing on the establishment of BIM databases during the prefabricated construction stage to the attending representatives.

Mr. Zhang explained that BIM—Building Information Modeling or Building Information Management—is a digital process that uses comprehensive data related to construction projects to create a three-dimensional building model. This model simulates accurate building information through digital information simulation. BIM features eight key characteristics: information completeness, information correlation, information consistency, visualization, coordination, simulation, optimization, and graphing.

Mr. Zhang highlighted the benefits of applying BIM technology in construction across four key areas: optimization of construction drawings, simulation of construction nodes, demonstration of construction organization, and quantity statistics. Through practical project cases, he emphasized the critical role of BIM technology in prefabricated construction. By deepening the design of BIM models and drawings, the logical relationship of BIM applications in prefabricated engineering was clarified.
