Located on the Happy Coast of Shenzhen Bay, the DJI flagship store stands as the brand’s largest worldwide to date. Three years ago, Wanshe Design was invited to redesign the space, aiming to embody DJI’s unique technological identity, commitment to quality, and spirit of refined innovation.

The renovated DJI flagship store spans nearly 4000 square meters. A unique single-story building was created with an entirely new interior, seamlessly connecting the original four-story space. This redesign offers comprehensive, one-stop services including the full range of DJI products, sales, hands-on experiences, after-sales support, and training.
Notably, the flagship store integrates DJI Park within its architecture—an innovative venue designed for future drone flight shows and a creative urban relaxation space for residents.

This project introduces the concept of DJI Park, highlighting the distinctiveness of DJI drones. By incorporating a viewing platform throughout the flagship store, it creates an open, welcoming, and interactive outdoor test flight park.
Combined with spacious indoor areas, this design fosters a diverse and engaging retail experience that invites visitors of all ages to explore the allure of technology and DJI products.

Due to the building’s irregular structure, the exterior features large glass curtain walls with various angled surfaces, allowing abundant sunlight indoors. However, the region’s consistently hot climate means the top floor experiences significant sun exposure during the day.
Originally designed as a tourist center, the four-story interior had limited connectivity. Indoor landscaped stairs only led to an outdoor viewing platform on the second floor, preventing seamless vertical circulation. Visitors could only navigate between floors via two elevators. Additionally, transportation hubs and staff-only passages on the third and fourth floors were located within the core tube area.

To improve vertical circulation and open up the space on all floors, new staircases were added. This renovation enables smooth flow throughout the venue, with clear functional zones and independent experiences on each floor, creating a genuine bottom-up exploration.
