Located in Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan Irrigation Project City, this project resides in one of China’s earliest designated scenic areas. It holds the prestigious national AAAAA tourist attraction status and is recognized as one of China’s four famous Taoist mountains, one of the five Immortal Mountains, and among the top ten scenic spots in Chengdu.

Deconstructing and Reimagining Western Sichuan Architecture
The sloping roofs and perforated structures are hallmarks of Western Sichuan’s traditional buildings. By deconstructing and reorganizing these elements, the design simplifies the symbolic features of the original architecture while enhancing spatial form. The layout integrates the classic Western Sichuan enclosed courtyard style, creating a multi-themed courtyard landscape experience tailored for the hotel.

Spatial Interpretation of Taoist Culture
Qingcheng Mountain, one of China’s four famous Taoist mountains, is steeped in classical Taoist culture. It embodies the philosophy of balance — where Yin and Yang coexist harmoniously. This principle, known as “Tai Chi,” governs both nature and the subtleties of life.
The overall design adopts the concept of “Tai Chi,” seamlessly integrating it into the courtyard layout. The sloping roofs connect the guest rooms, dining areas, and supporting facilities into a unified whole, resembling the harmonious Tai Chi fish symbol. The guest room waterscape represents the outer center, while the sky disk viewing platform serves as the inner heart — creating two centers and two rings. The undulating roofs echo the natural contours of Qingcheng Mountain, resembling a poetic pastoral landscape painting of Western Sichuan.

Integrated Architectural and Landscape Design
The hotel’s outdoor water features near the guest rooms, the inner circular sky observation deck in the supporting facility area, the sunken performance space, leisure areas, and the landscaped courtyards between functional zones all extend seamlessly from indoor spaces. This integration fully supports the building’s purpose while allowing guests to enjoy the natural rural scenery in flowing outdoor environments.
The roof-level observation decks connect with the aerial disk viewing platform, offering distant mountain views and close-up sights of the fields. These spaces encourage lively conversation, singing, and drinking in a relaxed atmosphere. Every guest room features a private balcony with scenic views and a soaking pool, providing year-round enjoyment of the changing countryside and soothing hot springs.

Design Guided by Customer Needs
Historically, Taoist priests traveled in small groups at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain, practicing chivalry, preaching morality, and seeking simple dwellings. Today, visitors strolling beneath the picturesque Qingcheng Mountain experience the welcoming hospitality of the Pushe family resort. Here, guests enjoy the comforts of Bashu culture, and when night falls, friends and family gather on the green-tiled roofs to share wine and stories under the moonlight.
