Located on elevated terrain with a steep slope in the city of Leiria, this villa’s design responds to zoning requirements by featuring a tower that serves as an observation deck overlooking the city. A key design choice places the social areas on the upper floors, while the rooftop hosts a swimming pool offering a full 360-degree panoramic view.

The design draws inspiration from the natural deformation of ordinary pebbles. Through axial rotation, this concept transforms into a dynamic, flexible form that enhances sunlight exposure. Balconies, shading devices, and circulation areas extend from the ground to the roof, creating a symbolic ladder connecting the human world to the sky.

The building’s structure and concrete façade integrate seamlessly, featuring 18 horizontal circular elements that establish a rhythmic visual effect. Each segment corresponds to the height of two steps, providing both aesthetic harmony and a protective function for the residents.
The interior layout consists of split-level floors, with certain spaces interconnected while others remain independent and self-contained.
