This vibrant expansion transforms the existing residences, which offer stunning views of the city and bay. Each floor features independent living and relaxation spaces, including an upper-level swimming pool and spa, providing versatile options for a family of adults. The rich interior design adds an exquisite charm to the home where they have lived for 20 years.

The newly constructed three-story dark structure appears to envelop the original single-story decorative residence, presenting a bold and dynamic street-facing facade. This enhances the building’s presence and allows it to stand proudly alongside its neighbors on Beaconsfield Parade. The design maximizes the use of the tight site, offering beautiful views of the northern city skyline and the southern bay.
To harmonize with and withstand the coastal environment, materials were carefully selected for durability and longevity in marine conditions. Anodized solid aluminum rain curtain decorative panels were chosen for their low maintenance, resistance to salt and alkali corrosion, and full recyclability at the end of their lifecycle.

The client and her family appreciate the flexible spaces designed for adult family members to gather or retreat independently. The first and second floors, dedicated to entertainment, each have distinct atmospheres. Natural stone and wood materials flow through each level, extending into the atrium and garden, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces.
The dynamic exterior design and refined interior decoration complement one another perfectly, creating a home that serves both as a serene retreat and a lively entertainment venue. The emphasis on natural elements inside and outside enhances the living experience. As personalization increases throughout the home, the interior’s charm escalates, culminating in the luxurious master bedroom and open-plan suites.

In the words of the principal architect, “My new home is a dream house for entertainers. Its perfect orientation optimizes natural light, minimizes the impact of the coastal climate, and frames the captivating bay and city views. Bold, confident forms and material choices both inside and out create a theater of light. The way natural light is arranged and filtered brings unique moods to each room throughout the day, as if performing emotional dramas. George and Rosa have designed a beautiful, functional residence where living is a true pleasure.”
