“Reality is not only what it is and what it reveals, but also its clones, shadows, and images.” – Emmanuel Levinas

The path to the house winds through small grassy slopes, stone walls, and glass panels framed by translucent structures.
This home integrates a variety of landscape elements. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a small hill shaped through thoughtful landscape design. The organic greenery blends effortlessly with geometric forms — tree trunks, shadows, branches, and sky. Behind a tree trunk stands a wall reminiscent of windmill blades.

In this summer retreat, shadows and wind play essential roles.
Shadows represent the tangible presence within the environment. While tangible elements seem to fade from our surroundings, we strive to build and create objects that we can physically connect with. Without these structures, the space would feel more hostile. Built environments offer protection and safety. Shadows often reveal shapes concealed by direct light, making them a unique form of imagery.

Separated from the central axis, a private volume offers a quiet space for rest and reflection. At the heart of the house, beneath the expansive branches of a large tree, a suspended platform creates a shaded communal area. Water gently flows here, caressing the living space.
