Sal House is situated on Antonio Ferrandis Street in Valencia, Spain, within the P.P. Quatre Carreres residential district. Positioned on the southern edge of the city, this residential building enjoys a prime location, acting as a boundary between two contrasting sites and urban scales. It also offers stunning views extending directly to Albufera Natural Park and the nearby seaside.

The project occupies a rectangular site, where the existing urban plan defines the allowable building blocks. According to planning regulations, two towers measuring approximately 27 by 17 meters each can be constructed. In the final design, these two towers share identical function, form, and detailing, connected by a common base spanning the first and second floors.

This residential tower complex features a three-level building area on the ground and second floors, directly facing the urban environment. The upper floors contain 100 residential units. The first-floor area also serves as a communal space, accessible via an arcade and equipped with a swimming pool and a children’s playground. Vertical gardens adorn the entrance, highlighting the transition between neighboring orchards and the urban fabric.

The building employs a minimalist design language, presenting a bold, clear, and simple architectural form. Each staggered block emerges from a precise rectangular plane, extending its corners outward to create a “terraced” balcony for each unit. This design results in a continuous, undulating facade that wraps these terraces with curved lines, reflecting the building’s geometric character. White aluminum composite panels accentuate the flowing surfaces of the facade.

The staggered floor blocks reduce their overhangs as they rise, complying with urban planning restrictions while creating a dynamic and visually engaging residential complex.
