Flying has always been a dream of humanity.
From Leonardo da Vinci’s early design of a flapping wing aircraft over 500 years ago to the first biplane soaring above Hong Kong in 1911, the journey has been filled with countless stories of failure, discouragement, and continuous experimentation.

This art installation draws its inspiration from the mechanics behind these flying machines. Featuring a pair of double-layered airplane wings alongside bicycle installations, it stands prominently in the center of a grassy area, casting shade through the play of swaying light and shadow.

Visitors engage physically by stepping on bicycle wheels, causing the wings to slowly flap up and down. The interconnected reddish lines, both scattered and orderly, encourage visitors to persist in their movements, symbolically flapping their wings and striving to fly.

This art installation creates an interactive dialogue with the public, integrating the energy of the community into its design and dynamically transforming the surrounding environment.
