Established in 1993, Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College is one of China’s earliest independent institutions offering higher vocational and technical education. It has earned recognition as a national demonstration higher vocational college, a high-level vocational school with Chinese characteristics, and an A-level professional construction plan unit by the Ministry of Education. The college also holds titles as a national high-quality vocational college, a first-class vocational college construction unit nationally, and in Guangdong Province.
The total construction area of student dormitories, sports facilities, and supporting buildings in Building G of the Liuxiandong Campus covers approximately 120,000 square meters. Upon completion, the project will provide around 4,000 beds, a student canteen, four tennis courts, and a standard sports stadium with a seating capacity of 10,000.
Beijing Internet Cube, a subsidiary of Cube Science and Technology, offers BIM consulting services during the construction phase, assisting Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College in creating a Chinese-style, world-class vocational institution.

The student dormitories in Building G utilize prefabricated construction technology, incorporating prefabricated stairs, exterior walls, composite panels, and interior wall strips. To ensure high construction quality, BIM technology is integrated during the design phase for construction drawing design, component assembly planning, and detection of installation errors, omissions, clashes, and defects. The combination of BIM and prefabrication has significantly helped save resources, shorten project timelines, and enhance efficiency.
Project Highlights
High Construction Standards: The Liuxiandong project aims to achieve national awards for safety, civility, construction quality, and decoration. As the main construction unit, Shenzhen Construction and Engineering Bureau demands strict standards and high-quality workmanship to improve campus facilities and provide better living and learning environments for faculty and students.
Advanced Design Concepts: Meeting the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Construction and Engineering’s advanced construction system requirements, the project integrates green building principles. BIM models optimize building form, orientation, spacing, and window-to-wall ratios to improve energy efficiency and reduce consumption.
Smart Operation and Maintenance: Intelligent operation and maintenance are crucial for extending the building’s lifespan, creating added value, and lowering energy use. The BIM model, enriched with multidimensional construction data, serves as a digital foundation for facility management, enabling seamless information integration among stakeholders and supporting smart maintenance practices.
Service Scope
BIM Consultant Coordination: Our company plays a key BIM consultant role during the construction phase, coordinating multiple parties and overseeing BIM implementation to ensure the building model accurately reflects the physical structure.
BIM Standards Development: We lead the creation of an overall BIM implementation plan, unified BIM model application standards, BIM work management systems, and operational guidelines. These standards harmonize BIM deliverable formats among participants, facilitating smoother project execution and communication.
Project Management Training: We provide comprehensive BIM training for core departments and teams involved in construction. This enables personnel to understand BIM fundamentals, navigate BIM models and 3D visualizations, and collaborate more effectively.
Project Promotion and Display: To support innovative construction methods promoted by the Shenzhen Construction and Engineering Bureau, we offer assistance for project promotion and showcase across multiple sites.
Project Impact
Enhanced Project Management: Leveraging BIM technology, the project team conducts discussions, planning, comparison, analysis, and simulations during implementation. This improves the feasibility and execution of construction plans, raises project management professionalism, and strengthens overall control.
Refined Construction Process: BIM enables precise issue prioritization, reducing demolition and rework, minimizing errors, and saving costs and time, resulting in a more refined construction workflow.
Smart Operation and Maintenance: Upon project completion, a highly integrated physical and digital BIM model will be delivered. This comprehensive digital asset supports intelligent operation, maintenance, and full lifecycle management of the facility.
