01. Modular Layout for Openness
Dividing the space into smaller segments enhances both internal and external accessibility.
A breathing block design

The market is developed on fragmented land, where three relatively independent building blocks create a welcoming inner street scale.
The axis of these segmented blocks serves as the main pedestrian flow, linking the residential area and park, while also functioning as a key transportation route connecting various functional zones. The exterior street-facing sections incorporate building gray spaces to foster a vibrant commercial atmosphere and active consumer environment.
02. Diverse Lifestyles Within Walking Distance
Fresh, vibrant living
Designing a three-dimensional, lively community living block.

Convenient and lively
The market offers abundant access to fresh vegetables, fruits, and seafood, while striving to recreate the warmth and human connection reminiscent of traditional neighborhoods.

More than fresh — a living space
The area supports a variety of businesses, including coffee shops, snack bars, restaurants, and retail, fulfilling residents’ diverse needs for socializing, dining, business meetings, and more.
03. Modular Box Concept
Small boxes, flexible use
Incorporating human-scale design into the overall market architecture.

A modular and adaptable system supports future business planning, allowing spaces to expand or contract based on business needs without compromising the architectural style.
When placed inside the market, these spaces transform an empty “square” into a dynamic “block.”
04. Scale and Technology Integration
Warmth through modern wooden structures

05. Natural Ambiance at a Modern Scale
The combination of spruce solid wood and steel creates modern wooden structures that offer flexibility in design due to their lightweight characteristics. The indoor roof features purlins and rafters aligned on the same plane, with exposed wooden framing highlighting structural beauty.

06. Public Ecology and Integration
Immersive shopping experience in the park

Open design
The natural roof elements create seamless interaction with the adjacent park. Corridors and terraces offer panoramic views of Central Park.

Natural light introduction
The facade features extensive transparent materials to maximize natural light and showcase the park’s greenery, creating a lush shopping environment.

Encouraging presence
The design invites people to walk, linger, sit, stand, or even lie down, creating inviting spaces for lasting engagement.

Community gathering
The flexible use of space allows people to come together, share meals, and interact with neighbors, vividly illustrating an ideal living scene.
