The Wuhan Jindi International City Demonstration Zone project introduces a “MiniTown micro city-state concept,” aiming to condense urban life while emphasizing the broader vision. This miniature design approach is especially effective for new urban areas with incomplete surrounding infrastructure, offering residents an optimal living experience.

The overall design centers on a landscape-themed park, where buildings are subtly integrated. This park is divided into distinct areas, including a sunken “gathering” space featuring a red clay tennis court, a plateau waterfall rainforest, and several themed zones such as art gardens that embody urban life. The architecture, ranging from low-rise to high-rise and from traditional to modern, resembles life flourishing within a rainforest.

The first and second floors adopt a classic brown stone collegiate style, featuring broken blocks scattered throughout the park. Red bricks and stonework complement the Red Square landscape, creating a symbiotic and harmonious atmosphere. Buildings with three or more floors emphasize city skyline views, allowing the community’s uniqueness to be recognized from the subway platform. These taller structures showcase modern, futuristic volumes, while echoing the arch motifs below, symbolizing growth reaching skyward.

The building’s design balances facade scale and surface texture. The first floor features brown stone bricks, while the second and third floors use sleek white aluminum panels to articulate the facade, enhancing the building’s light luxury feel and distinctiveness. Red bricks with gold trim connect through arcades, blending classical and futuristic elements to evoke a strong cultural and academic atmosphere. The top and edges are adorned with a light golden metal grille that filters sunlight, creating beams of light. This effect, known scientifically as “Tyndall’s Light,” formed by dust and water vapor in the air, imparts a sacred and serene ambiance to the structure.
