The design for the Xidi Innovation Headquarters Base is commissioned by Guangdong Xidi Microelectronics Co., Ltd., a listed company on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. Located on Guicheng Street in Nanhai District, Foshan City, the project embraces the themes of “technology, innovation, and futurism,” “green, ecological, natural,” and “vitality, diversity, and fluidity.” The design features dynamic, twisting twin towers that embody the company’s vision for “green energy and a better life.” This architectural expression highlights Xidi’s corporate identity and culture while leveraging the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s integrated strength to establish a global presence through Guicheng. The headquarters will integrate technology R&D, mass production testing, operation management, an integrated circuit technology innovation center, and an international talent hub.
The ‘Endless City’ of the Greater Bay Area
Inspired by the corporate visual identity system, the headquarters building creates a “City of Infinity.” The two towers are connected by aerial platforms and podiums that resemble electronic components, symbolizing the innovation base of electronic product enterprises and reflecting the company’s cultural and technological ethos.

△ Design Concept
The towers twist upward with a smooth curvature, creating a sleek architectural form that reflects the infinite nature of electronic products and symbolizes the enterprise’s limitless growth potential. The streamlined design, enhanced by parametric techniques, emphasizes the aesthetics of modern innovative architecture. The curved façade delivers a continuous, fluid visual experience, embodying innovation and futurism with a distinct identity. This daring design of twisted twin towers presents significant challenges in structural engineering and curtain wall systems and stands as a unique architectural innovation in the Greater Bay Area. The “City of Infinity” is poised to become a Foshan landmark, renowned for its uniqueness, expressiveness, innovation, and boldness.

△ Body demonstration and twisting angle refinement process
To align with Xidi’s vision of “green energy and a beautiful life,” the design incorporates green office elements throughout the space. The designer transforms scattered inter-floor spaces into green terraces, creating bright, open, and ecological public platforms at various heights. This approach fosters harmony between modern living and nature, establishing a dialogue between architecture and the environment.

The headquarters design includes diverse functional spaces such as research centers, conference halls, and exhibition areas. These accommodate the evolving office needs and new working styles of modern enterprises, promoting a healthier work environment and ample opportunities for both internal and external collaboration. The twin towers are linked by aerial platforms and podiums, encouraging interaction among departments. Layered spatial planning enriches the variety of activities, while intersecting spatial blocks enhance functional flexibility.
